On 18 June 2026 the Dak Lak reproductive-health centre reported Official Letter No. 4260/BYT-PB of 10 June 2026 from the Ministry of Health, sent to provincial and city People’s Committees, on tighter management of chemicals and of household and public-health insecticide and disinfectant products.
Main points
- The letter asks chairpersons of provincial and city People’s Committees to direct implementation of Circular 05/2026/TT-BYT, which issues the list of chemicals that may not be used and the list of hazardous chemicals whose information must be declared in products.
- Authorities are asked to raise awareness in health facilities and the community about using and disposing of products safely and for the intended purpose.
- They are asked to step up specialised inspection, and to prevent commercial fraud, counterfeit goods and poor-quality goods in manufacture, sale and use of the products in the province.
- The Ministry of Health asks for breaches to be handled strictly under the law and to be announced widely in the media so the public is warned. The news item was written by My Hanh, with a photograph by Bao Trong.
VPMA’s note
The letter is an instruction to implement. It does not replace Circular 05/2026 or the penalty decrees. Members should check labels, expiry and the authorisation file with the local health authority when inspected. The Association should confirm any operational reading of the letter.
