Official Letter No. 1554/UBND-TH of 18 September 2026 of the Ro Koi Commune People’s Committee (Quang Ngai province), signed by Vice Chairman Doan The An, implements Official Letter No. 5210/SYT-NVY of 16 September 2026 of the Quang Ngai Department of Health on stronger dengue response measures.
Main points
- Commune health station: keep track of existing and new outbreak sites and treat them thoroughly; work with the Centre for Disease Control on vector surveys, identify high-risk spots and carry out proactive mosquito spraying under Ministry of Health Decision 3711/QD-BYT of 19 September 2014.
- Economic Office: with the health station, review and allocate funding (buying ULV sprayers, buying insecticides, hiring spraying workers…) for outbreak treatment or proactive spraying.
- Culture and Social Affairs Office: inspect hot spots; handle violations strictly under Decree 90/2026/ND-CP of 30 March 2026 on administrative penalties in the health sector, paying attention to businesses and households with tyres holding larvae.
- Villages: each household spends 10 minutes a day collecting waste and removing larvae in and around the home; larval control once a week in areas with active outbreaks, every two weeks in high-risk areas and once a month elsewhere during peak months.
VPMA’s note
A commune-level document carrying out the Quang Ngai Department of Health’s instruction; the content of Official Letter 5210/SYT-NVY is known through the commune’s document. Members working in Quang Ngai should note that the locality budgets for hired spraying workers, and spraying must follow the health sector’s technical guidance.
