Needs the Association’s confirmation. On 6 October 2026 NPMA (US) released its 2025–2026 Impact Report, themed “Protecting What Matters”, reviewing a fiscal year of advocacy, workforce development, education and events and previewing initiatives for the year ahead.

Main points

  • Advocacy: NPMA and its state partners tracked more than 350 bills nationwide; nearly 40 harmful bills were defeated in Massachusetts alone. Legislative Day drew 475 members, and more than 230 of them visited Capitol Hill offices from 40 states.
  • Workforce: NPMA ran the industry’s first national workforce awareness campaign, with 2.17 million impressions; job postings on pestcontroljobs.com rose 167% to 25,695.
  • Education: the rebuilt Online Learning Center recorded 2,858 course completions, up 37% on the previous year; NPMA released the fully revised 2026 Pest Management Standards for Food Processing and Handling Facilities. NPMA Pro Certified reached 80 holders, with 313 more registered for the exam; QualityPro accredited 21 new companies.
  • Research and membership: a $1 million commitment from the Gary W. Rollins Foundation established the PMF Legacy Fund, with $382,000 already contributed; NPMA welcomed 398 new members with an 85.6% retention rate; PestWorld 2025 in Orlando drew more than 4,500 attendees.
  • Plans for FY27: the industry’s first student Pest Management Career Summit on 8–10 March 2027 at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville; new forecasting tools using ITR Economics and IMPLAN data; a Culture & Engagement Committee (from September 2026); and a second Business Leaders Roundtable focused on small businesses.

VPMA’s note

News about an industry association in the US; VPMA is not involved. The way NPMA publishes yearly figures (new members, retention, online course completions, policy work) is a reporting model the Association could consider. Needs the Association’s confirmation before it goes into the Association’s activity plan.
