
The Ho Chi Minh City Center for Disease Control (HCDC) reported on 3 October 2026 that in week 39 (21–27 September 2026) the city recorded 1,491 dengue cases, stable (1.7%) compared with the average of the previous four weeks. The cumulative total from the start of 2026 to week 39 is 35,714 cases.

- Wards and communes with high dengue rates per 100,000 people: according to the infographic with the HCDC article, up to week 39 Con Dao special zone had 883, Chanh Phu Hoa 777, Minh Thanh 706, Ngai Giao 697 and Dong Hoa 632 cases per 100,000 people.
- Hand, foot and mouth disease (not insect-borne, reported in the same bulletin): 1,538 cases in week 39, a sharp 63.8% rise compared with the average of the previous four weeks; 36,676 cases in total. High rates per 100,000 people in Con Dao special zone (673), Binh Khanh (535) and Hiep Phuoc (443).
